If we meet in the street and you invite me to take a coffee with you, my behavior and my conversation will not be different than when we are together in my room or in the Dhamma Hall. I will always share my heart with you and that will always be free. But then the question for you becomes, 'what do I bring to this relationship?'
'If Dhamma takes care of me, what do I contribute to its place in the world? Do I feel comfortable benefiting from this lineage of Pure Dhamma and yet not give or support its welfare and continuation?' Dhamma is free.
I do not ask you for anything, but wait without waiting for you to show your heart.
Dhamma is free, but it comes at a price. What will you give for your own awakening?
Michael Kewley (Dhammachariya Pannadipa)
